DBBS makes urgent appeal for blood donation

Muscat: The Department of Blood Banks Services (DBBS), on Monday, has made an urgent appeal to the holders of A negative blood group to donate blood at the Central Blood Bank in Bausher. 

A statement issued online by DBBS said, "Many patients are in dire need of blood transfusion today. We appeal to the holders of A negative blood group to take the initiative to donate blood today at the Central Blood Bank in Bausher. Also, due to the shortage of blood donors, we need donors from all blood groups."

"Blood can be donated from Saturday to Thursday, from 8 am to 8 pm and on Friday from 3 pm to 8 pm. Please book your appointment to donate blood via WhatsApp at 94555648," the statement added.
