Vehicle loaded with illegally cut firewood seized in Oman

Muscat: The Environment Authority has seized a vehicle loaded with firewood for violating the Environmental Protection Law.

The Authority said in a statement, "Teams of the authority in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate managed to seize a vehicle loaded with firewood in violation of the Environmental Protection Law. The legal procedures against them are being completed."

"The authority calls on everyone to curb harmful practices that cause damage to the vegetation cover in the Sultanate to avoid legal accountability," the statement added.
