Muscat: A new petroleum agreement has been signed between the Ministry of Energy and Minerals and Majan Energy.
A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA), said: "Signing, at the Ministry of Energy and Minerals, a new petroleum agreement with Majan Energy in concession No. 71 of an area of 282 square kilometers."
"The agreement stipulates the company’s commitment to conducting geological and geophysical studies for the Habhab field, drilling a number of evaluation wells and experimental production, and using the latest technology in the field of enhanced extraction of heavy oil in this region," the statement added.
