Muscat: An agreement has been signed between the Oman India Fertilizer Company (OMIFCO) and the Ministry of Education to support a project to provide tablets for students from low income families in Al Sharqiyah South.
A statement issued online by OMIFCO said: "To enhance students' abilities in ICT, and to keep up with the means of modern education and distance learning, OMIFCO signs agreement with Ministry of Education to support providing tablets for students from low income families in Al Sharqiyah South."
"The project aims to enable school students to continue their education online under the current extraordinary situation of the Covid-19 pandemic, besides keenness for developing students abilities as part of CSR initiatives of OMIFCO to support education & capacity building," the statement added.
