Muscat: The total number of active cases with COVID-19 has reached 12,000 cases, for the first time in 152 days, Oman TV said.
Dr. Zakaria Bin Yahya Al Balushi, the Infectious Diseases Consultant at the Royal Hospital, said in an interview with Oman TV ": The number of infected cases at intensive care due to Covid 19 is at an alarming rate and disturbing too. Currently, there are more than 18 cases at intensive care."
Dr.Zakaria Al Balushi confirmed that:"In the past period, the number of cases in intensive care did not exceed 10 cases, while now 18 cases, this number is considered alarming and indicates that we have entered a new wave."
” Infection with Covid 19 for a second time is possible and it was monitored in all countries of the world and also in Oman, especially in the Royal Hospital, a group of people who had previously been infected with Covid 19 were monitored and then recovered, and after a period of three or four months or more, they were infected again with COVID-19 and were forced to hospitalized again,” Al Balushi added.
