Doha: The National Search and Rescue Team of the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority concluded its participation in the joint drill with the International Search and Rescue Group of the State of Qatar.
The drill comprised several aspects related to the work of international search and rescue teams. The drill has continued for thirty six consecutive hours in accordance with the guidelines manual of the International Search and Rescue Advisory Group, affiliated to the UN Office for Humanitarian Affairs.
The drill aimed to upgrade the readiness of the National Search and Rescue Team for handling search and rescue incidents under different conditions.
The drill was attended by Brigadier Salim Yahya Al Hinai, Chairman of the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority.
