
A’Rustaq: The Tax Authority Department in South Al Batinah Governorate, in cooperation with Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry branch in the governorate, organised an awareness seminar titled “Taxation in the Sultanate of Oman.”
This initiative falls within the efforts aimed at enhancing financial and legal awareness among entrepreneurs.
The seminar aimed to acquaint participating entrepreneurs with the latest developments in the tax system in the Sultanate of Oman, clarify the laws, obligations, and rights of taxpayers, thereby contributing to the promotion of tax culture and the reduction of violations. It also introduced the electronic services provided by the Authority.
The seminar focused on several key topics, including providing a comprehensive explanation of the tax system in the Sultanate of Oman, the mechanism for registering for different types of taxes, and showcasing the electronic services offered through the Tax Authority’s portal to facilitate transactions. Additionally, it raised awareness about the risks of tax evasion and its legal and economic impact.
