Muscat: The Muttrah Wali Office on Tuesday organised a lecture on ‘Decision Making Skills’ in the presence of Dr Hamad Al Mamari, Wali of Muttrah, and several governorate’s employees and the Muttrah people.
The lecture aims to enhance administrative efficiency and the employees’ skills.
The lecture was presented by Dr Hamad bin Hamoud Al Ghafri, Lecturer of Educational Psychology and Self-Learning at the Arab Open University.
He discussed the decision-making concept and the right decision making to achieve the desired purposes.
He explained the seven steps for ideal decision-making, indicating how to apply these steps to reach the best possible solutions.
The lecture discussed the Weighted Decision-Making Criteria Matrix, which helps to evaluate different choices for decision-making on an objective and thoughtful basis.
The lecture included interaction among the attendants, who exchanged views and dialogues on ways to improve decision-making skills in various fields.
This lecture is within initiatives and lectures organised by the Muttrah Wali Office to enhance awareness and the administrative abilities of employees and the Muttrah people. Thus, it improves performance and the administrative work efficiency in institutions.
At the lecture conclusion, the wali highlighted the importance of lectures and courses. These that aim to enable human resources to make effective decisions that will positively reflect on the development in Oman.
