Children's Library wraps up successful "Ma'rifa" Season

Muscat: The Children's Public Library concluded today the sixth season of the "Ma'rifa" program with the theatrical performance "Fingers of Jameel" presented by the Al-Dan Theater Troupe for Culture and Art, in the presence of Her Highness Sayyida Dr. Mona bint Fahd Al Said, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Children's Public Library. 

The play was written and directed by artist Asaad Al-Siyabi and focuses on the topic of "bullying"; with the aim of raising awareness among children and society about its impact and the importance of addressing it. 

The show featured the participation of a group of talented children who embody the characters of the story; which adds a realistic dimension and makes it closer to the world of children. 

The theatrical performance "Fingers of Jameel" sought to deliver an awareness message that highlights the importance of combating bullying and promoting the values ​​of cooperation and tolerance among children. 

It is worth noting that the "Ma'rifa" program lasted for a full year and included many events and workshops. The program is also a comprehensive educational initiative supported by BP Oman for the sixth consecutive year. 

The program aimed to develop children's capabilities through five main tracks: literature, language and art, science and technology, innovation and entrepreneurship, health, safety and environment, and society. 

The program, which benefited more than 1,800 beneficiaries during this season, including children, parents and those interested in children's literature, aimed to enhance the love of reading and creativity, increase scientific and technological awareness, and stimulate the spirit of innovation and initiative among children.

The program sought to spread awareness of the importance of health and safety, develop environmental awareness, in addition to consolidating community values ​​and cooperation through these tracks. 

The program also provides integrated educational and entertainment experiences that contribute to building an educated and aware generation.
