Muscat: The Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development hosted a dialogue session on Monday to enhance opportunities for SMEs in the retail, construction, and manufacturing sectors.
The session aligns with the Authority’s efforts to foster partnerships with relevant entities and improve the business environment for SMEs.
The session aimed to strengthen the role of SMEs in developing these key sectors through innovative ideas, operational efficiency improvements, and encouraging public-private partnerships.
It also sought to raise awareness about the sector’s vital contribution to supporting the national economy.
Key discussion topics included policies, regulations, licensing, and enabling frameworks to support SMEs in developing innovative solutions and partnerships within the retail, construction, and manufacturing sectors.
The event was attended by Qais Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion and Halima Rashid Al Zarei, Chairperson of the SMEs Authority, along with several officials from related entities and SMEs owners in the retail, construction, and manufacturing sectors.
