Muscat: Khazaen Dry Port, part of Asyad Group, has been officially designated as a final destination for receiving containers from global ports.
The port has also inaugurated a secure customs corridor with Sohar Port, reinforcing the integration of Omani ports and boosting the efficiency of national supply chains.
The secure customs corridor represents a qualitative leap in supporting the import, export, and re-export ecosystem for Oman’s private sector.
It enables traders and investors to transport goods smoothly and reliably within a streamlined customs environment, enhancing logistical efficiency, reducing operational costs, and providing Omani companies with seamless access to global markets—strengthening their competitiveness and supporting private sector growth.
The project features an advanced customs system that allows clearance from a single station at Khazaen Port, utilising shipping agent guarantees instead of traditional customs bonds and accepting written guarantees. This reduces time and effort while improving the beneficiary experience.
These measures reflect Asyad Group’s commitment to facilitating cross-border trade and providing a flexible, secure business environment aligned with global best practices.
