Muscat: The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism concluded promotional workshops organised in India.
The workshops, which were attended by 25 Omani tourism establishments, met with 150 companies exporting tourism traffic from India to enhance joint cooperation between the Omani tourism sector and Indian tourism companies and attract target groups from India.
The promotional sessions were attended by prominent Indian tourism companies and representatives of specialised media outlets, reflecting the growing interest in Omani tourism in the Indian market.
This initiative is part of a series of promotional events organised by the Ministry in a number of targeted global markets, including India, to attract diverse segments of tourists, promote attractive tourism offerings, and gain a closer understanding of the requirements of these markets.
The campaign also aims to raise awareness of the Sultanate of Oman's tourism assets, highlight its position as a comprehensive tourism destination, and promote the most prominent services, facilities, and products available in the Omani tourism sector.
The sessions featured presentations from Omani tourism companies and institutions, showcasing diverse tourism packages, services, and facilities tailored to visitors, in addition to offering exclusive offers tailored to the Indian market.
A series of bilateral meetings were also held between participants from both sides, discussing ways to enhance partnership and integration in a number of tourism sectors, thus contributing to increasing competitiveness and attracting more tourism to the Sultanate of Oman.
It's worth noting that the promotional seminars and exhibitions organised by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism in priority tourism markets contribute significantly to identifying visitors' aspirations and preferences, especially in light of the ongoing transformations taking place in the global tourism sector, which require product development and the provision of innovative and integrated experiences.
This, in addition to strengthening direct presence in target markets, ensures effective and sustainable partnerships.
