Muscat: Russian House Oman (RHO) is proudly presenting its 'Study in Russia' stand at the ongoing EduTrac exhibition at the OCEC.
The stand, visited by Her Highness Sayyida Hujaija bint Jaifar Al Said was officially inaugurated, on Monday, marking a significant milestone as the first-ever participation of RHO in this education and career fair.
The ceremony to open the stand was conducted by Mrs. Svetlana Gladenkova, spouse of the Ambassador of Russia to Oman; Anna Popova, Head of Russian House Oman; and Dr. Igor Egorov, Chairman of the Board of Russian Compatriots in Oman.
First-Time Participation of Leading Russian University
Adding to the significance of this year's exhibition, Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU) is also making its debut at EduTrac with its own standalone stand.
As one of Russia's most prestigious technical universities with over 120 years of academic excellence, SPbPU offers a wide range of programs in engineering, technology, and natural sciences.
Their direct participation provides Omani students with a unique opportunity to engage with representatives from this world-renowned institution.
Oleg Levin, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Sultanate of Oman, commented on the initiative, stating: "We are confident that the high-quality and diverse educational opportunities in Russia will be of great interest to Omani students and will further deepen the friendship between our two nations." The 'Study in Russia' stand has already generated significant interest from prospective students and their families, eager to learn about the wide range of academic pathways available.
"We are thrilled by the enthusiastic response from the Omani audience," said Anna Popova, Head of Russian House Oman. "There is a notable and growing interest in Russian education. Our stand provides comprehensive information for students at all stages of their academic journey—from Bachelor's and Master's/Postgraduate degrees to short-term professional development courses.
