Muscat: Hydrom, the government company responsible for developing the hydrogen sector and implementing the green hydrogen strategy, has signed an agreement with the private sector.
The agreement aims to enable the management and operation of wind measurement station assets and utilise them to support renewable energy resource measurement campaigns, which are fundamental elements in planning the development of green hydrogen projects in the Sultanate of Oman.
This agreement aligns with Hydrom’s commitment to its pivotal role in enhancing the readiness of the national green hydrogen ecosystem.
This is achieved by localising knowledge and skills, empowering Omani competencies, and stimulating local content to build an integrated and sustainable value chain that supports the large-scale implementation of green hydrogen projects in Oman.
This agreement is a major milestone in the path of empowering the national green hydrogen ecosystem. It represents a practical step towards qualifying Omani competencies and expanding the participation of local companies in project implementation, thereby enhancing Oman’s readiness to become a leading regional center for the production and export of green hydrogen.
