
Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik conferred Royal Orders at Al Barakah Palace on Sunday on some of their highnesses, their excellencies and officials, as well as commanders of the Sultan's Armed Forces (SAF) and Royal Oman Police (ROP), and senior officers from military and security services.
This recognition from the country's Monarch is in appreciation of their dedicated efforts in performing their professional duties, and coincides with the nation's celebrations of the glorious National Day.
His Majesty the Sultan conferred the Al Rusoukh Order (Second Class) on:
- HH Sayyid Dr. Fahad bin Al Julanda Al Said, Vice Chancellor of Sultan Qaboos University.
- HH Sayyid Nader bin Al Julanda Al Said, Secretary General in the Diwan of Royal Court.
- HH Sayyid Dr. Kamil bin Fahad Al Said, Secretary General at the Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers.
His Majesty the Sultan conferred the Supreme Order of Honour on:
- Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court.
- Sheikh Abdul Malik bin Abdullah Al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council.
- Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior.
His Majesty also conferred the Al Rusoukh Order (Second Class) on Khalid bin Hilal Al Maawali, Chairman of the Shura Council.
Furthermore, His Majesty the Sultan conferred the Royal Commendation Order (First Class) on:
- Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister.
- Sheikh Dr. Ali bin Masoud Al Sunaidy, Chairman of the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones.
- Dr. Madiha bint Ahmed Al Shaibani, Minister of Education.
- Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Sa’eedi, Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs.
- Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al Harrasi, Minister of Information.
His Majesty conferred the Oman Civil Order (First Class) on:
- Lt. Gen Said bin Ali Al Hilali, Head of the Internal Security Service.
- Hussein bin Ali bin Abdullatif, Advisor at the Private Office.
- Sayyid Dr. Sultan bin Ya'arub Al Busaidi, Advisor at the Private Office.
- Ahmed bin Jaafar Al Musalami, Governor of the Central Bank of Oman.
His Majesty the Sultan conferred the Royal Commendation Order (First Class) on Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sarmi, Head of the Royal Protocols.
His Majesty also conferred Oman Military Order (Second Class) on:
- Air Vice Marshal Khamis bin Hammad Al Ghafri, Commander of the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO).
- Rear Admiral Saif bin Nasser Al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO).
- Maj. Gen Salim bin Ali Al Hosni, Commander of the Royal Guard of Oman (RGO).
- Maj. Gen Musallam bin Mohammed Jaaboub, Commander of the Sultan’s Special Force (SSF).
- Maj. Gen Gerald M. Strickland, Senior Loan Service Officer at the Ministry of Defence.
- Maj. Gen Nasser bin Saleh Al Maawali, Secretary General for Liaison and Coordination at the Royal Office.
- Maj. Gen Sulaiman bin Khalid Al Zakwani, Secretary General for the Office of Head of Office of the Supreme Commander.
- Maj. Gen Khalifa bin Ali Al Siyabi, Assistant Inspector General of Police and Customs for Administrative and Financial Affairs.
- Maj. Gen Idris bin Abdulrahman Al Kindi, Secretary General of the National Security Council at the Royal Office.
- Maj. Gen Hamid bin Ahmed Sakroon, Chairman of the Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies.
- Maj. Gen Mohammed bin Rabia Al Shujaybi, Assistant Head of the Internal Security Service for Operations.
- Maj. Gen Saif bin Salman Al Shukaili, Assistant Head of the Internal Security Service for Administrative Support.
- Rear Admiral Ali bin Abdullah Al Shidi, Commandant of the National Defence College.
- Maj. Gen Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Manthari from the Ministry of Defence.
- Maj. Gen Sultan bin Mohammed Al Maamari from the Ministry of Defence.
- Maj. Gen Saif bin Zahir Al Salmi, Head of the Special Medical Unit Affairs at the Royal Court Affairs.
- Maj. Gen Sulaiman bin Ali Al Husaini, Head of the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority.
His Majesty the Sultan also conferred Oman Military Order (Third Class) on Colonel Nasser bin Saud Al Riyami, Military Aide to His Majesty the Sultan.
