Muscat: The Higher Education Admission Center (HEAC) at the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation today announced the results of the second round of admissions for the 2025/2026 academic year.
A total of 1,808 male and female students were granted admission opportunities, primarily in the fields of Business Administration and Commerce, Information Technology, Engineering and Related Technologies, Arts, and Society and Culture.
Ahmed Mohammed Al Azri, HEAC Director General stated that the total number of vacant seats is 1,235, representing 4.2% of the total seats allocated for the 2025/2026 academic year. These vacancies resulted from an insufficient number of students meeting the specific admission requirements for these programs.
He indicated that students can view the results through the registration page on the Unified Admission System. He urged all accepted students to complete their registration procedures at their respective higher education institutions from today until 23 November, emphasizing the importance of adhering to the deadlines to ensure the confirmation of their seats, in accordance with the registration completion procedures of each institution.
He mentioned that the Center will open registration for the 'Seat Reinstatement Service' on 24-25 November. This service is available to all students who were initially offered a seat but did not complete the registration process—meaning their status in the Unified Admission System is listed as "Not Registered" in any academic program.
