Heavy rainfall to persist over several governorates, says Oman Meteorology

Muscat: Oman Meteorology has reported that heavy and intense rainfall is expected to continue over Al Dhahirah, Al Buraimi, and North Al Batinah Governorates, as well as parts of the Dhofar Governorate.

These weather conditions are likely to lead to the flow of wadis and valleys across the affected regions.

Forecasts indicate that the weather system will extend to include parts of the South Al Batinah and Musandam Governorates over the coming period. Residents in these areas are advised to remain cautious, as the sustained heavy rain increases the risk of flash flooding in low-lying areas and mountain passes.
