Muscat: The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth today launched the “Summer of Arts” programme, which includes 18 training sessions on different forms of art. The programme targets school students aged 8 to 18 years. It lasts from 22 June to 18 August 2026.
The programme is in pursuance of the Ministry’s efforts to optimise the use of the summer vacation in a manner that benefits the target group. It seeks to engage the students in cultural and social activities through services that suit their capacities, develop their innovative abilities and refine their artistic talents.
The programme includes workshops on writing of artistic content, theatrical performance (drama), Arabic calligraphy, digital arts, photography, drawing, painting, sculpture and other skills related to visual arts.
The programme also includes interactive courses in the field of musical arts using artificial intelligence, in addition to practical training on playing the piano, the violin, the lute and other musical instruments.
