MoU signed to enhance cooperation in smart transportation, security solutions

Muscat: Karwa Motors and "eMushrif" signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing joint cooperation in developing and providing smart transportation solutions and technologies.

This partnership aims to raise security and safety levels, develop fleet management systems, and utilize the latest digital technologies in the transport and communications sector.

This memorandum comes within the framework of the commitment of both parties to support digital transformation efforts in the transport sector and to provide integrated solutions that meet the needs of government and private entities. This will be achieved by merging the industrial expertise of Karwa Motors with the advanced technical solutions developed by "eMushrif" in the fields of vehicle tracking, fleet management, and smart safety systems.

Under the MoU, the two sides will work to explore cooperation opportunities in developing innovative solutions, including bus and vehicle monitoring and management systems, technologies to enhance driver and passenger safety, operational data analysis, and smart monitoring systems, in addition to digital solutions that contribute to improving operational efficiency and raising the quality of services.

The two sides emphasized that this partnership represents a strategic step towards building a smarter and more sustainable transport system. It also reflects their commitment to supporting the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 through localizing modern technologies and enhancing local content, keeping pace with global developments in the smart transportation sector.

Officials from both companies expressed their anticipation to translate this memorandum into practical projects that contribute to providing advanced solutions for the Omani and regional markets, enhance operational security and safety standards, and raise the efficiency of fleet management using the latest technologies of artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and data analysis.
