Dhofar Governorate braces for 20th conference of Arab Towns Organisation

Salalah: HH Sayyid Marwan bin Turki Al Said, Governor of Dhofar, on Tuesday held a meeting with Badr bin Wael Alaljeel, Secretary General of the Arab Towns Organisation. During the meeting, HH Sayyid Marwan and Alaljeel discussed ways to enhance cooperation and exchange experiences, in addition to ongoing preparations of Dhofar Governorate to host the 20th General Conference of the Arab Towns Organisation in the next few days.

The meeting also reviewed key projects implemented by Dhofar Governorate in the fields of digital transition, sustainability and innovation.

HH Sayyid Marwan affirmed Dhofar Governorate’s commitment to take necessary measures to ensure the success of the forthcoming Arab conference in a manner that embodies the Sultanate of Oman’s approach to support joint Arab action and enhance intra-Arab cooperation.

For his part, Alaljeel expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by Dhofar Governorate to host the the 20th General Conference of the Arab Towns Organisation. He pointed out that the event would contribute to the organisation’s progress and realise the aspirations of member cities for a more sustainable and innovative urban future.
