Political Affairs Undersecretary receives Director-General of Red Cross

Muscat-- Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs, received today Pierre Krähenbühl, Director-General of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Geneva.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed developments in the political and humanitarian situation in the region, and exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual interest. They also discussed areas of cooperation and exchanged expertise, in addition to reviewing ways to enhance partnership and coordination between the two sides.

The meeting was attended by Abdullah Mohammed Said, Head of the Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross in the Sultanate of Oman, along with a number of officials from both sides.
