Means of enhancing cooperation in community development discussed

Khasab: A joint introductory meeting was held on Monday at Musandam Centre for Culture and Innovation, in the Wilayat of Khasab, between the Governorate of Musandam and “Rikan”—the energy sector’s social responsibility development foundation.

The meeting aimed to enhance cooperation for supporting development initiatives and projects with a sustainable community impact, in line with the goals of "Oman Vision 2040" and the priorities of development in the Governorate of Musandam.

The meeting was attended by Sayyid Faisal bin Hamoud Al Busaidi, Governor of Musandam, and Sheikh/Eng. Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Ghraibi, CEO of “Rikan”, among other officials.

The meeting elaborated on the role of "Rikan’s" in consolidating social responsibility efforts within the energy sector and guiding social investments toward sustainable projects that deliver a tangible developmental impact.

The participants were briefed about “Rikan” Foundation’s areas of operation, which include fostering human capital development, community infrastructure, national initiatives, charitable activities and local economy and In-Country Value (ICV).
