Mechanisms for electronically conducting annual inventory of government assets reviewed

Muscat: The Ministry of Finance is organising workshops for more than 48 government entities on the annual inventory procedures for 2026, to introduce the mechanisms for electronically conducting the annual inventory of government assets using the National Register of Government Assets system (Osool).

The workshops aim to introduce the mechanism for conducting the physical inventory of assets, alongside the procedures for registering, documenting, and tracking inventory results electronically, thereby contributing to elevating data accuracy and enhancing the efficiency of inventory follow-up.

These workshops come within the framework of the Ministry of Finance's efforts to raise the quality of government asset data, enhance the efficiency of its management, and optimise its utilisation to support decision-making.
