
Muscat: The Governorate of South Al Sharqiyah and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning today signed an agreement with Al Yusr Charity Foundation to finance the construction of 46 homes for low-income families in the Wilayat of Masirah, at a total cost of approximately OMR 2 million.
The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the Urban Development, Housing and Construction Exhibition and Conference, in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Yahya bin Badr Al Maawali, Governor of South Al Sharqiyah.
The agreement aims to provide suitable housing for beneficiary families and enhance family and social stability by creating a safe and sustainable residential environment that meets their basic needs and contributes to improving their quality of life.
The agreement underscores the importance of partnership and integration between government institutions and civil society organisations in implementing housing initiatives with a social dimension. It also strengthens the contribution of civil society organisations to development efforts and meeting the needs of eligible families.
