Muscat: His Highness Sayyid Bilarab bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of State and Governor of Muscat on Sunday presided over the announcement of the "Al Yazan" Integrated Tourism Complex project on the waterfront of Sultan Qaboos Port in the Wilayat of Muttrah.
The project is supervised by Oman Tourism Development Company (OMRAN Group) and VA Group, spanning an area of 18.5 hectares and comprising approximately 1,500 residential units.
His Highness Sayyid Bilarab was briefed on the details of the "Al Yazan" project, whose designs were inspired by the architectural character of the Wilayat of Muttrah and its nature combining mountains and the sea, forming an architectural extension of the area's identity.
The residential areas account for 180,000 square metres of the overall project, distributed across three phases in which buildings cascade at different levels from the mountainsides toward the coast, alongside green spaces that harmonize with the sea view.
In addition to residential spaces, the project features public areas and facilities for community activities, starting with a waterfront promenade extending for more than 400 metres , and a pedestrianised street housing shops, restaurants, and cafes, with commercial space totaling 25,000 square metres.
The project also includes green spaces with a total area of 30,000 square metres, as well as a crescent-shaped plaza featuring an open-air amphitheatre, a collection of fine dining restaurants, multi-purpose sports courts, and dedicated children's play areas to meet the needs of residents and attract visitors.
