
Muscat: Motorists travelling on Oman's Batinah Expressway will soon be able to use the fuel stations being set up on that route.
The news comes after the country's Housing Minister signed seven agreements to establish integrated service stations on Al Batinah Expressway and the Adam-Thumrait road.
The Ministry of Housing said in a statement online: "HE Sheikh Saif bin Mohammed Al Shabibi, Minister of Housing signed seven agreements to establish integrated service stations (fuel filling stations) in Al Batinah Expressway and Adam-Thumrait Road within the long-term benefit system for companies winning a public bidding to provide basic services to road users."
Four of these integrated service stations will be on Al Batinah Expressway. These will be distributed in the area of Al Hawr in Wilayat Suwaiq, with one on the right side of the road and a second on the left, in the same Wilayat.
Another service station is to be set up in Wilayat Saham on the right side of the road, with a further station in Wilayat Liwa, on the left side of the road.
The three integrated service stations on the Adam - Thumrait road will in the area of Ghafatin in Wilayat Haima (on the right of the street) and the other station will be in the centre of Wilayat Haima, also on the right of the street, and the third station will be in Wadi Bani Khuwaiter in the Wilayat of Maqshin, on the left side of the road.
