Indian School Wadi Kabir International (ISWKI) celebrated its Annual Day on February 1, 2025, with the inspiring theme, ‘Global Sustainability’. The event was graced by Dr. Asma Said Ahmed Al-Ghassani, Director of the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning at Sultan Qaboos University, who lauded the school’s commitment to fostering environmental consciousness among students. Esteemed members of the Education Cell of Hindu Mahajan Association, Sheikh Anil Khimji, Shri Kiran Asher, and Shri Rajendra Ved, along with the School Management Committee, also attended the event.
The celebration was a vibrant showcase of talent, creativity, and a strong commitment to sustainability. The event featured a variety of performances, including skits, musical renditions, and cultural dances, all emphasizing environmental conservation and responsible citizenship. It also recognized learners’ achievements in academics and non-academic pursuits. Additionally, the event celebrated the learners' achievements in academics as well as non-academic pursuits, recognizing their dedication and hard work throughout the academic year.
Dr. Asma highlighted the importance of sustainable practices in daily life and commended ISWKI’s efforts in fostering eco-friendly habits. Vice-Principal Ms. Sowmya M. S. expressed pride in the learners and educators, stating, “At ISWKI, we believe that education is not just about academic excellence but also about shaping responsible global citizens. This Annual Day celebration is a testament to our dedication to sustainability and holistic learning.” The Principal’s report detailed curricular and extra-curricular activities conducted throughout the year. The President of the SMC, Ms Gargi Chugh, thanked the two most important stakeholders, parents and staff, for their commitment to creating a supportive educational environment.
