Royal Oman Police warns public against fake traffic fine discount scams

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has warned the public against misleading messages circulating online that promote fraudulent websites and links claiming to offer discounts of up to 50 percent on traffic fines. The authority stressed that these unauthorized schemes are designed to deceive individuals and compromise personal user data.

Members of the public are urged to refrain from clicking on unknown or suspicious links and to disregard information from unverified sources. The ROP advised citizens and residents to verify all official news through verified police channels and to immediately report any suspicious online activity or fraudulent links to the authorities.
